As I walked through the cold winter Through the white and gray of December Mourning my losses sulking and scowling With the dread of death lingering over me I look towards the archaic heavens Begging for mercy, for forgiveness but no mercy came I lied there and was put to rest My soul seeping from my body But before I died I saw a single flower Blooming in December Thriving, despite harsh conditions And I smiled Upon looking back on my final moments I remember not the harsh winds and freezing cold nor the white and gray of winter but the flowers in december Surely proof that beauty can grow at the most bitter of times

Over the years Our friendship has grown dull Our attitudes towards each other have most definitely changed and our conversations our exchanges lack substance Do you miss how it used to be at all? I don't feel that you do I feel that you've replaced me and it drives me insane How could you replace me, when I could never replace you? It doesn't make sense to me... It hurts me So here we are, I suppose We've reached a fork in the road And there's no way back You go your way and I'll go mine Good luck, and remember, I wish you the best in life No matter what has happened between us.

Nothing lasts forever Every Movie has its sad ending Every story its resolution Every life its death And at the risk of sounding cliché, Every rose its thorn Everyone has their dues to pay Some may have more dues than others And it may not be fair But then again, most things aren't but we carry on regardless or, most of us do, at least and we mourn those who couldn't Change is a constant in life And like I said, nothing lasts forever So when whatever happens, happens We'll just have to let go, move on, and carry on with our miserable lives.
